Alexander (Alex) Shallal

Alexander (Alex) Shallal is a commercial transactions attorney who represents owners, operators, and investors in business and commercial real estate matters. His practice includes business and real estate acquisitions and sales, corporate formation and organization, and general business counseling. Alex has extensive experience in the negotiation and drafting of commercial leases with both national credit tenants and small businesses alike.

Additionally, Alex focuses on hotel acquisitions and sales, and frequently assists clients with brand-related matters, including franchise agreements, approvals, and compliance requirements. His work is aimed at keeping deals efficient while protecting clients from brand-driven operational and financial risk.
As fundamental part of his practice Alex advises on all aspects of liquor licensing. He represents bars, restaurants, hotels, grocery stores, convenience stores, and gas stations on Michigan Liquor Control Commission regulatory and administrative law.

Alex has a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Business Administration from Wayne State University. He attended the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law where he achieved awards for academic excellence in the subjects of Patent Law, Intellectual Property, and Advising Entrepreneurs in New Business Startups Law Firm Program.
